Stainless Brass (P.V.D.)

Around the turn of century, Polished Brass established itself as a popular material for internal and external door furniture.

To eliminate a daily chore of polishing Carlisle Brass introduced "Stainless Brass" P.V.D. (Physical Vapour Deposit), a process of the 1990's.

The main difference offered by P.V.D. is that there is no lacquer to break down and that the product is impervious to oxidation, tarnishing and abrasion and guaranteed for 25 years. Guaranteed 25 years

This specialist process is time-consuming and more expensive than our standard brassware, but the long term advantages well outweigh extra costs wherever maintenance-free conditions and beautiful brassware is required.
